A variety of full and half
day school outreach programs are available
through OU Sooner Flight Academy and most
can be brought to the school site, giving
a different perspective to math and science
students. Programs have produced measurable
results in science and math scores and
encouraged students of all ages to pursue
higher education degrees. Parents comment
that their children are more confident
and strive to do better in math and science
after being exposed to the Academy's programs.
Ticket to Tomorrow is
a proven aviation/aerospace outreach
program designed to strengthen math and
science skills in school-aged children.
Students in grades three to six engage

OU Engineering/Aviation
Mentorship Program helps build the foundation
of learning. The OU mentorship program
provides a window into children’s
internalized learning processes and encourages
them to discuss and resolve various scientific
concepts through a process of experimentation.
Students in grades 6-12 are mentored
by undergraduates, graduate students,
and college professors on the University
of Oklahoma campus. Model building, experimentation,
flight simulators, radio controlled gliders
and general aviation provide the backdrop
for implementing the scientific method
during eight 3 hour sessions on campus.
