Soar to new heights with Senior Adult Services and the OU Sooner Flight Academy's program for seniors. This exciting 3-1/2 day program will provide learners with an overview of aviation, aerodynamics, rocketry, and ground school.

Blast off into a brave new world as you learn about Newton’s Laws and build and launch your own rocket!

Join the elite as you tour the FAA Mike Monroney Center in Oklahoma City. Activities may include but are not limited to touring the CAMI facility including the burning aircraft simulation and crash test sled, participating in the Tower Cab Simulator, and performing a crash investigation at the boneyard.

Plot and fly a short cross-country course! Use sectional charts, calculate headings, distances, and wind components to ensure on-time arrival at your destination.

Fly the course you plotted with the help of a certified flight instructor, tour the Tower at Max Westheimer Field, and build your own workable hovercraft.

Camp includes all instruction, supplies, photo, transportation to and from tours, flights, and lunch at Ozzie’s Diner each day. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the OU Sooner Flight Academy at Max Westheimer Airport in NW Norman.
